Bawtt Pty Ltd (ACN 697 022 129) is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals and managing personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This Policy sets out how Bawtt manages personal information collected through our website, app and extension.
Collection of Personal Information
Personal information collected may include:
- Name, contact details (email, phone, address), user credentials
- Account and usage information, including devices, browser type, IP address, pages accessed
- Affiliations with organisations or employers
- Records of correspondence, enquiries, complaints or reporting activity
- Other information voluntarily provided or authorised by you
- Your likes, follows, deals, shopping preferences, and all information you include in messages sent through Bawtt Mail
We may collect information through cookies and similar technologies for Bawtt functionality and to personalise user experience. Personal information will only be collected with informed consent, except as otherwise permitted by law.
If personal information is collected in circumstances requiring compliance with foreign data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR), Bawtt will comply with all applicable requirements concerning cross-border data protection and exercise due diligence to ensure recipients do not breach relevant standards.
Purpose of Collection
Bawtt collects personal information for the following purposes:
- Providing Bawtt access and functionality
- Responding to enquiries, complaints and support requests
- Managing user accounts and communications
- Providing relevant deal, offer or discount information
- Completing administrative functions, including billing and client relationship management
- Conducting market research, improving services and maintaining security

Personal information may be used and disclosed only for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy and under our Terms. Bawtt does not sell personal information. We may disclose data to third-party suppliers, contractors, related companies or affiliates who assist in Bawtt operations. Bawtt does not verify, audit, endorse or make representations regarding deals or third-party claims. Bawtt does deidentify data and commercially use that data.
Where personal information is disclosed to overseas recipients, Bawtt will take reasonable steps to ensure compliance with the APPs, including through contractual safeguards and technical means such as encryption. Information transferred, stored or processed outside Australia will be subject to privacy protections consistent with APPs and other applicable requirements, including the United States of America and Singapore.
Direct Marketing
Bawtt may use personal information to provide information about features, deals or offers, or send promotional communications. Individuals may opt out of direct marketing at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism or by contacting Bawtt.
Data Storage and Security
Information is stored in secure databases protected by physical and electronic safeguards. Third-party hosting and cloud providers may be used. Bawtt takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from unauthorised access, modification, disclosure or misuse, including encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews. Information that is no longer required will be securely destroyed or de-identified.
Access, Correction and Complaint Procedures
Individuals may request access to, or correction of, their personal information held by Bawtt by contacting the Privacy Officer at privacy@bawtt.com. Bawtt will take reasonable steps to ensure accuracy, completeness, currency and security. Requests for access or correction will be processed promptly, generally within 30 days.
Complaints regarding privacy or handling of personal information may be made to the Privacy Officer. If unresolved, complaints may be referred to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Some Bawtt features may not function if cookies are disabled. Bawtt may contain links to third-party websites. Bawtt is not responsible for third-party content or privacy practices.
Anonymity and Pseudonymity
Where lawful and practicable, individuals may communicate with Bawtt anonymously or using a pseudonym.
Data Transfers and Cross-Border Compliance
Where personal information is transferred outside Australia, Bawtt will implement appropriate technical and contractual safeguards. If required under foreign laws such as GDPR or other applicable requirements, Bawtt will comply with additional data transfer obligations, including those pertaining to user rights, encryption, and right to erasure.

Bawtt may amend this Privacy Policy at any time. Updates will be posted on Bawtt.
Consent
Use of Bawtt constitutes agreement to this Privacy Policy.
