Terms & Policies

User terms, content rules, and advertiser & commercial posting policy for the Bawtt platform.

Terms and Conditions of Use v2.0

Bawtt is operated by mDoch Pty Ltd (ABN 17 105 650 502) (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Last updated: 26 March 2026

The rules. Not exciting. Still binding. Rules are like speed limits — nobody loves them, but things get messy (and expensive) when you ignore them. So yes, they’re annoying… but they’re also the reason this doesn’t turn into chaos. Don’t be the reason we can’t have nice things.

1. The Deal (Acceptance + Updates)

By using Bawtt (website, app, extension, features — any of it), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy(together, the “Terms”). If you don’t agree, don’t use Bawtt. Simple.

If you use Bawtt for a business or anyone else, you promise you have authority to bind them — and you personally are still on the hook for what you do.

We can update these Terms any time. Changes take effect when posted on Bawtt. If you keep using Bawtt after changes, you accept the new Terms.

One important fairness sentence (so this holds up): any discretion we exercise under these Terms will be exercised reasonably and in good faith, having regard to the purpose of Bawtt and applicable law.

2. Definitions (What We Mean by Things)

To keep this readable, here are the key definitions:

  • Advertiser(also referred to as Commercial Poster) — any person or entity that posts, places, submits, promotes, sponsors, or otherwise makes Content available on or through Bawtt for its own Commercial Benefit or for the Commercial Benefit of any third party, whether or not the Advertiser receives payment or commission directly. This includes affiliates, referral partners, sponsors, merchants, retailers, brands, service providers, employees, contractors, agents, influencers, ambassadors, PR firms, or agencies acting for a business or brand, and any person posting Content as part of a marketing, promotional, traffic-driving, lead-generation, or brand-awareness activity.
  • Advertiser Content— any Content posted by or on behalf of an Advertiser where the Content is connected with, or gives rise to, any Commercial Benefit. This includes sponsored, promoted, or paid placements; affiliate, referral, tracking, or commission-based links, codes, or identifiers; content promoting a business, products, services, or brand; and any associated links, creatives, metadata, or tracking parameters. Does not include Content posted by an Ordinary User solely for personal or community purposes.
  • Commercial Benefit— any direct or indirect financial, economic, marketing, promotional, or other advantage arising from the posting or promotion of Content. This includes commissions, referral fees, affiliate income, sponsorships, lead generation, brand awareness, and any similar marketing advantage. Does not include an ordinary consumer obtaining a discount solely on their own purchase.
  • Affiliate — anyone posting deals/links that generate commissions or other benefits (including referral fees, influencer codes, cashback, “partner” links, or tracking links), whether disclosed or not.
  • Bawtt — the Bawtt platform in all forms (app, website, extension, tools, features).
  • Content — anything posted, uploaded, transmitted, or displayed on Bawtt (text, images, codes, links, votes, comments, metadata, deal info, etc.).
  • Deal — any offer, discount, promotion, listing, coupon, code, price drop, bundle, service offer, or similar.
  • Ordinary User — a User who shares, discusses, or comments on deals for personal, informational, or community purposes only, and who does not obtain any Commercial Benefit other than an ordinary consumer discount on their own purchases.
  • Policies — any policies or rules we publish (including Community Rules, reporting requirements, affiliate disclosure requirements, and any product-specific terms).
  • Third-Party Website — any website/service not operated by us (including retailers, payment providers, app stores, advertisers).
  • User — you (and everyone else using Bawtt).

3. Who Can Use Bawtt (Eligibility)

  • You must be 18+ or otherwise have legal capacity to enter a binding agreement where you live. If you’re under 18, you may only use Bawtt with parent/guardian supervision and their agreement to these Terms.
  • You must comply with all applicable laws (including consumer, advertising, privacy, IP, misleading/deceptive conduct).
  • You must comply with the Australian Consumer Law and advertising standards. Commercial users (Affiliates/Advertisers) are held to a higher standard on Bawtt. This is not optional.
  • We can refuse service or access if you’re barred under law, sanctions, or if you’ve previously been permanently removed.

4. What Bawtt Is (and Isn’t)

Bawtt is a community-driven deal discovery platform: Users post, discuss, and discover Deals.

We are an information-sharing service only. We are not a seller, supplier, agent, broker, or intermediary. We don’t sell products, process transactions, guarantee prices, stock, availability, or accuracy.

Content is mostly User/Affiliate generated, so it may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unavailable. Use your brain.

Bawtt is not: a seller, a price guarantee service, your shopping advisor, your accountant, or your mother.

5. Your Account (Security, Responsibility, Ban-Evasion)

  • You’re responsible for your account, password, and anything done through it. If you suspect compromise, tell us immediately.
  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
  • No ban evasion: if we suspend/ban you, you must not create a new account or use someone else’s account to sneak back in.
  • We can require verification or additional security steps at any time.

6. Your Content (Public, Your Problem, Our Licence)

Responsibility for Content: You are solely responsible for Content you post. You promise your Content is lawful, accurate, and doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights. The fact Content appears on Bawtt does not mean we reviewed, verified, or endorsed it.

Don’t Blindly Trust Deals: Deals change. Stock disappears. Mistakes are made. Verify before you buy. You rely on Content at your own risk.

If You Post a Deal, You’re Warranting Stuff: If you post a Deal/Content, you promise: it’s accurate and not misleading/deceptive; the deal exists at the time you post it; “was/now” claims are real and substantiated; you have rights/permissions to post it; and you comply with all laws (including the Australian Consumer Law).

Everything You Post Is Public: All Content is public and may be viewed, shared, and reused by others. Once it’s out, you may not be able to fully claw it back.

Licence You Grant Us (Broad, Standard, Necessary): By submitting Content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, transferable and sublicensable licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, communicate, display and create derivative works from your Content in any media and formats now known or later developed, for the purpose of operating, improving, securing, promoting, monetising and commercialising Bawtt.

This licence continues even if you stop using Bawtt or delete Content, to the extent required for platform operation, backups, legal compliance, dispute handling, and archival.

Moral Rights (Australia): To the extent permitted by law, you consent to any act or omission by us (or our licensees) that might otherwise infringe your moral rights in your Content, including editing, formatting, cropping, or adapting it.

Feedback: If you give us suggestions/ideas/feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it without compensation or attribution.

7. Links, Tracking and Platform Control

You acknowledge and agree that Bawtt may, at any time and without notice: modify, replace, redirect, shorten, cloak, annotate, disable, or remove any link, URL, code, or tracking mechanism included in Content; insert, substitute, or apply our own affiliate links, referral identifiers, tracking parameters, or redirection mechanisms; and prioritise, suppress, reroute, or monetise links for commercial, integrity, user-experience, or platform reasons.

You have no entitlement to the preservation, visibility, priority, or integrity of any link you submit. We are not obliged to route traffic in accordance with your preferences. You must not attempt to bypass, obscure, or interfere with link-level controls applied by us.

8. Don’t Be That User (Prohibited Conduct)

Bawtt is for real deals, not manipulation. You must not:

  • Post fake/misleading deals or fabricated “was/now” pricing
  • Spam affiliate links with no genuine value
  • Game votes, rankings, engagement, or visibility (including coordinated upvotes, brigading, vote rings)
  • Use bots, scraping, automation, data mining, or harvesting tools
  • Create multiple accounts
  • Manipulate outcomes
  • Impersonate anyone or misrepresent affiliation
  • Post illegal, restricted, dangerous, recalled, counterfeit, or stolen goods/services
  • Post malware, harmful code, phishing links, or scam content
  • Dox, harass, threaten, or invade privacy
  • Harass, annoy, or stalk any other users
  • Use Bawtt to breach any third-party terms or laws

If you’re that User, we will act quickly and harshly. No warnings required (unless we feel like it).

9. Enforcement Tools

We may (to the extent permitted by law): remove/edit Content; reduce visibility or ranking; restrict features; suspend or permanently ban accounts; block devices/IPs; refer matters to law enforcement or regulators; take legal action for abuse, scraping, fraud, or IP infringement.

10. Moderation

We may monitor or moderate Content, but we are not obliged to. We can remove or restrict Content any time, with or without notice, where we consider it inconsistent with Bawtt.

11. Commercial Content: Affiliates & Advertisers (Extra Rules, Less Patience)

If you post as an Affiliate/Advertiser or have a commercial interest, you must: clearly disclose any material commercial connection; comply with Australian Consumer Law and ad standards; ensure claims are true, substantiated, and not misleading; and comply with our Policies and any affiliate/advertiser program terms.

We may label, rank, prioritise, downrank, or remove Deals for commercial, quality, integrity, or strategic reasons. Not every Deal shown is “the best” Deal.

We may treat you as an Advertiser or Commercial Poster where, in our reasonable opinion, your use of Bawtt involves or gives rise to any Commercial Benefit. If we reasonably determine that you are acting as an Advertiser, you are subject to the Advertiser & Commercial Posting Policy as Additional Terms.

12. Third-Party Websites

When you click a Deal, you may be sent to a Third-Party Website. Their terms and privacy practices apply. We don’t control them and we’re not responsible for what they do. Be careful out there.

13. Ownership

We own Bawtt (platform, branding, code, UI, features, databases, look and feel), excluding User/Affiliate/Advertiser generated Content. You get a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use Bawtt for personal, non-commercial purposes — only while we allow it. You must not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, exploit, resell, or commercially reuse Bawtt without written consent.

14. Privacy

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and our Privacy Policy.

15. Paid Services

Most of Bawtt is free, but we may offer paid features, subscriptions, boosts, or services (“Paid Services”). Paid Services may have Additional Terms, pricing, billing cycles, and eligibility rules. If Paid Services are subscription-based, you authorise recurring charges until cancelled. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable.

16. Additional Terms

Certain features, services, promotions, paid offerings, competitions, beta tools, integrations, or third party functionality may be subject to additional terms (“Additional Terms”). If Additional Terms apply, we’ll tell you before you use that feature, and by using it you agree. If there is any inconsistency, the Additional Terms prevail for that specific feature.

17. Security, Availability, and “Stuff Happens”

We don’t promise Bawtt will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Outages happen. Bugs happen. You must not introduce viruses, malware, or harmful code. You’re responsible for your device, backups, and internet access.

18. We Can Change Bawtt

We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of Bawtt at any time, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by law.

19. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bawtt and all Content are provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no warranties about accuracy, completeness, availability, reliability, or fitness for purpose.

Prices displayed on Bawtt are shown in the currency indicated on the deal. Where no currency is specified, prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD). Approximate currency conversions may be shown for convenience but are indicative only and may not reflect current exchange rates. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any price, currency, or conversion displayed. Always confirm the final price and currency directly with the retailer before purchasing.

20. No Responsibility for Your Purchases

We are not responsible for: bad deals, wrong prices, expired offers; losses from purchases; third-party conduct, scams, delivery issues; your failure to check terms on a retailer site; or your budget or life choices.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with Bawtt. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

22. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or other right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law (or similar) that cannot be excluded.

23. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us, our directors, officers, employees, contractors, and partners from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to: your use of Bawtt; your Content; your breach of these Terms or law; or your interaction with Third-Party Websites.

24. Intellectual Property Complaints (Takedowns)

We respect IP rights. If you believe Content on Bawtt infringes copyright, trade mark, or other IP rights, send us a notice through our online forms including: your name and contact details; the IP right you own/control; the exact URL(s) identifying the Content; an explanation of why it infringes; and a good-faith belief statement.

We may remove or disable access to the Content, request more information, or take any other action we consider appropriate. Repeat infringers may be permanently terminated. False or abusive notices may result in action against you.

25. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Bawtt at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, breach law, create risk for us, harm the community, or we otherwise decide it’s necessary. You can stop using Bawtt any time.

26. Disputes

If a dispute arises, a party must notify the other in writing. The parties will attempt good faith resolution within 10 business days. If unresolved, either party may refer it to mediation through a recognised Australian disputes body. Nothing prevents either party seeking urgent injunctive/equitable relief.

27. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays, failures, or disruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

28. General

  • Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. The courts of Queensland and the Federal Court of Australia (Queensland Registry) have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
  • Severability: If any provision is invalid/unenforceable, it is severed and the rest continues.
  • Entire agreement: These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about Bawtt.
  • Assignment: We may assign our rights without restriction. You may not assign without our written consent.
  • Notices: We may notify you via Bawtt or email. You must notify us via legal@bawtt.com.
  • Survival: Ownership, licences, disclaimers, indemnities, dispute resolution, governing law, enforcement rights, and any obligations intended to survive continue after termination.

By using Bawtt: you’ve read this, you understand it, and you agree to it — and if you don’t, your remedy is extremely simple: don’t use Bawtt.

Content Rules v2.0

Operated by mDoch Pty Ltd (ABN 17 105 650 502) — Effective: 26 March 2026

These Content Rules form part of the Bawtt Terms & Conditions of Use. If you use Bawtt, you agree to them.

1. What These Rules Are (and Aren’t)

Bawtt is a community-driven deal discovery platform. These Rules apply to Ordinary Users who: share deals, offers, and information created by other people or businesses; comment, vote, discuss, critique, or warn; and do not post for commercial gain.

If you obtain any commercial benefit from what you post (including affiliate links, referral codes, self-promotion, marketing for a brand, or posting for someone else), you are governed by the Advertiser & Commercial Posting Policy instead.

2. The Vibe

We like: real deals, useful info, sharp commentary, and politely calling out bad deals.

We do not like: fake pricing, manipulation, spam, stealth advertising, scams, or people trying to game the system. Organised chaos is fine. Dishonesty is not.

3. What Ordinary Users Can Do

You may: share genuine deals you have found elsewhere; discuss pricing, value, quality, and alternatives; post polite and respectful warnings or criticisms; include links to show where a deal exists; be blunt, sarcastic, or opinionated (within reason).

You do not need to be neutral. You do need to be honest.

4. Deal Integrity (Proof Beats Vibes)

If you post a deal, you must ensure: it actually exists at the time of posting; pricing and discounts are not misleading; key conditions aren’t buried or omitted (e.g. “new customers only”, minimum spend, region limits); and screenshots, if used, are not doctored.

Posting made-up discounts, fake “was/now” pricing, or intentionally vague offers will get removed and probably get you banned.

5. Ordinary Discounts Are Fine

Sharing a deal where you personally obtained a discount as a normal buyer does not make you an Advertiser. You are still an Ordinary User provided that: you receive no commission, referral fee, attribution, tracking benefit, or promotional advantage; and you are not posting on behalf of, or to promote, a business or brand.

6. What You Must Not Post

  • Fake, misleading, or deceptive content: false deals, fabricated discounts, bait-and-switch offers, misinformation presented as fact.
  • Commercial content disguised as community content: undisclosed affiliate links, hidden referral codes, posting for a friend’s business “just to help them out”, PR or marketing dressed up as organic sharing.
  • Manipulation of Bawtt or its Users: coordinated upvotes/downvotes, vote rings or brigading, multiple accounts, bots, scripts, scraping, or automation.
  • Illegal, unsafe, or harmful content: illegal, restricted, recalled, counterfeit, or stolen products; scams, phishing, malware; instructions that facilitate illegality.
  • Violations of personal or IP rights: doxxing or publishing private information; harassment, stalking, or threats; posting copyrighted material you don’t have rights to.

7. Links

Bawtt is not your personal link host. You acknowledge that links may be modified, replaced, redirected, or removed and link placement or priority is not guaranteed.

8. Moderation

We may, at any time: remove or edit Content; reduce visibility or ranking; lock, restrict, suspend, or ban accounts; take action with or without notice. We are not obliged to explain decisions or to moderate everything. Moderation decisions are made for platform integrity, not popularity.

9. Reporting Content

If something looks wrong: use the in-platform reporting tools or the appropriate reporting form for serious issues (scams, IP, illegal content). False or abusive reports may result in action.

Advertiser & Commercial Posting Policy v2.0

Operated by mDoch Pty Ltd (ABN 17 105 650 502) — Effective: 26 March 2026

This policy is Additional Terms under the Bawtt Terms & Conditions of Use. If you post, place, promote, sponsor, or monetise Content on Bawtt, this policy applies to you and forms a binding contract.

It’s pretty simple: If you make money on Bawtt, you pay us. If your content breaks the law, that’s on you. If we get sued because of your content, we come after you. If you don’t like these rules, don’t advertise on Bawtt.

1. Who This Applies To

This policy applies to any person or entity that: promotes themselves, their own business, product, service, or brand; places paid, sponsored, boosted, or promoted content; participates in an affiliate, referral, commission, or performance-based program; or includes affiliate links, referral links, tracking links, creator codes, cashback arrangements, paid placements, self-promotion, or indirect monetization Content for commercial gain.

If you benefit commercially, you are an Advertiser. No loopholes.

2. Fees, Charges, and How We Get Paid

You acknowledge and agree that we may charge fees for: sponsored or promoted Content; paid placements or visibility boosts; advertiser tools or programs; access to affiliate programs; performance-based features; and any other commercial service we offer.

Fee types may include: flat fees, usage-based fees, subscription fees, commission-based fees (including revenue share, referral fees, cost-per-action), or any combination.

Fees are calculated and payable solely based on our systems and records. Our tracking, attribution, and reporting is final and binding, absent manifest error. You must not interfere with or attempt to circumvent any software, tools, or systems we provide, nor act to game the system or manipulate commission calculations, tracking, or results.

All fees: are exclusive of GST and taxes (unless stated otherwise); must be paid in full, on time, without set-off or deduction; and are non-refundable except where required by law.

If you fail to pay, we may: suspend or remove your Content; terminate your advertiser access; withhold or offset commissions; charge interest; recover all enforcement and legal costs.

3. Non-Exclusivity and Competing Content

Your participation is non-exclusive. Other Advertisers, Affiliates, or Users may promote competing products or services. We may display, prioritise, rank, or surface competing Content alongside yours. You waive any claim arising from competing content or advertisers.

4. Your Content: Warranties

You warrant that all Advertiser Content: is true, accurate, and not misleading or deceptive; complies with Australian Consumer Law, advertising standards, and all applicable laws; does not infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; is not defamatory, unlawful, unsafe, or prohibited; is properly disclosed as sponsored, paid, or affiliate where required; is not offensive, hateful, or abusive; and is substantiateable on request.

5. Mandatory Indemnity

You fully indemnify and hold harmless mDoch Pty Ltd from all claims, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) arising out of your Advertiser Content, any breach of law, any IP infringement, any regulatory proceeding, or your breach of these Terms. This indemnity is not capped, not conditional on fault, not reduced by our moderation, and continuing even after you leave Bawtt.

6. Our Rights Over Advertiser Content

We may, at our sole discretion: approve, reject, edit, downrank, relabel, or remove Advertiser Content; require changes or substantiation; suspend or terminate campaigns; restrict or revoke advertiser privileges.

We may modify, replace, redirect, shorten, cloak, override, remove, or disable any Links. We may substitute our own affiliate, referral, tracking, or commercial links. You must not attempt to conceal, disguise, or bypass link-level controls.

7. Posting for Others

If you post Advertiser Content on behalf of another person or entity, you warrant that you have authority to do so and to bind that party. If you do not have that authority, you remain personally responsible for all obligations, warranties, fees, indemnities, and liabilities.

8. Investigations and Interim Action

You must, immediately on request: provide evidence substantiating pricing, discounts, stock, claims, and representations; provide confirmation of ownership, authority, or licences; and cooperate with audits or investigations. We may take any action we consider appropriate while investigating any concern, including suspending accounts, pausing Content, withholding payments, or requiring additional verification.

9. Enforcement, Legal Action, and Remedies

If you breach this Policy or the Terms, we may: remove or disable Content; suspend or ban accounts; terminate advertiser programs; withhold payments or commissions; report matters to regulators; and/or commence legal proceedings. We may seek injunctive or equitable relief in addition to any other remedies.

10. General

Nothing in this Policy creates a partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship. You act entirely on your own behalf. Our failure or delay in enforcing any provision does not operate as a waiver.
